DEFINITIONS | |
---|---|
Live instruction | Teachers will be holding class with students during this time. During live instruction, teachers will use some or all of these elements: Explain concepts, hold discussions, work through problems, facilitate small group work, provide time for independent work, and much more. The facilitation of Live instruction will vary from class to class. |
On Demand Instruction | On Demand instruction is student-initiated support time. During this time, students may work independently on teacher provided lessons and tasks as well as seek support/help from their teachers. Teachers will support students in a variety of ways including but not limited to: answering students questions sent via email, connecting with students on Teams to explain concepts and/or provide targeted instruction. |
Pride Time: Academic Intervention | Teachers will hold academic support sessions and request small groups of students to attend based on need and/or topic. This time is teacher-initiated. Students should plan to attend these sessions if requested by a teacher. Students who are not called into sessions should work on assignments for their classes. |
Student Work Time | Students will work independently during this time. Teachers will not be available for support due to teacher planning, professional development, and team meetings. |
Pride Time: School Connection | School connection relates to the positive Rose Hill culture we call Royal Pride. Growth opportunities will be provided where students connect with each other and their teachers in order to foster a community of learning and experience. |
