Quick Facts

If it is necessary for a student to be absent, a parent/guardian should notify the Attendance office by 7:50 am. The automated attendance hotline (425-936-2461) can be used 24 hours a day to inform the school of student absences. When leaving a message, please state your name, your relationship to the student and the reason for the absence. If we don’t hear from a parent/guardian that a student is going to be absent, the absence will automatically be marked as unexcused. If your student will be arriving late or leaving early, it is best to send a note with your student that they can take to the office, or email the attendance hotline. Please allow a minimum of 1 hour for us to locate your student and have him/her ready for early dismissal pick up.

Use of cell phones by students is not allowed from 7:50 am - 2:20 pm.

Should you need to get a message to your student during school hours, please call our main line (425-936-2460) or email the Attendance Office and we will do our best to get the message to your student. Our school policy states that student cell phones must be turned off between the hours of 7:50 am and 2:20 pm so please help your student be successful by not communicating with them via their cell phone during the school day. Cell phones may be turned back on after school. Items forgotten at home can be dropped off in the Office for student pick-up. Students will be responsible for checking in the office between classes for these items.

A T-shirt and sports-appropriate shoes are required for Physical Education classes. The mandatory Fitness T-shirt is available for purchase in the Office. The cost is $5.00. Students may also want to have a sweatshirt available for outdoor activities. A locker will be provided for each student who wishes to lock their belongings. Locking up belongings at all times is strongly encouraged.

Students participating in sports programs must have a completed physical (done by a medical professional) and all LWSD Athletic Policy forms before they can practice. Follow this link for sports registration: Final Forms. Before the first game/match, an athlete must have paid both the ASB Card Fee and the Athletic Participation Fee. The Athletic Participation fees for the 2023-24 school year are $100.00 for one sport and $200.00 for 2 or more sports. For students who do not have medical coverage, optional medical insurance forms are available in the Office. Pre-payments to student accounts may be made by cash or check. Visa or MasterCard deposits are available through the MySchoolBucks app. Applications for the district free or reduced lunch program are available online. We strongly encourage our families that might qualify for the program to apply, as many other programs beside breakfast and lunch, such as Operation School Bell, Athletics Waivers and other fee waivers rely on qualifying status.
